Chicago native, BM & MM DePaul University in piano performance with Mary Sauer, pianist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Annbritt was completing a Doctorate at Northwestern University in Piano Performance and Pedagogy when life took a right turn & she ended up touring/conducting Broadway shows! Was Music Director of 2 national tours (Aspects of Love, Phantom of the Opera (Assoc.MD/San Francisco Co), Miss Saigon (2nd National) before coming to NYC where she worked closely with Maestro Paul Gemignani & Mr. Sondheim for the next 10 years. Highlights were being Associate MD/pianist for Kristina (Andersson & Ulveaus) at Carnegie Hall & Royal Albert Hall, and playing piano for Sondheim’s Company with the New York Philharmonic. 10 Broadway shows to date. Currently Assoc. Music Supervisor for Aladdin and Frozen, helping mount international companies. Can be heard on OBC recordings of Frozen, Aladdin, Hunchback of Norte Dame, Into the Woods (rev. Vanessa Williams), The Frogs (Nathan Lane), Kristina (Carnegie Hall recording), and Company (New York Philharmonic). Annbritt and her husband, Charles duChateau (cellist, pianist, conductor,educator), are hugely into music education through private lessons/coachings as well as being active in creating the Catalyst Youth Orchestra in lower Westchester, NY.
